Their pricing is deceptive -- and that's being kind. More of a scam. Says you can do a return for free -- yet they start tacking on charges when you get into it. Then their website got jammed up. Couldn't process my return for days. Then I finally file my return. Turns out their dopey software got it wrong. So instead of a nice refund -- I had to pay. What's really funny is whenever you call customer service to ask about a bill -- the first word out of the agent's mouth, without addressing your question, is "you're contractually obligated to pay." That kind of training shouts "scam" in my book. Do not do business with these slimy crooks.

Taxslayer was easy to use. It didn't check for errors. I have not recieved my refund. It's been over 3 months. Makes me wonder if taxslayer was the right place to do my taxes.

Constant error messages without stating how to fix them. Does not recognize bank info inputted...

Absolutely no customer service !! They are not willing to help with any wit/concerns you may have.

The site tells me I need to finish my return which I know damn well was submitted and when I go to 'finish' it, it says I can't because my ss number had already efiled. Seriously... screen shots below. Oh and it says refund of 0 and it is over 2000. Worthless piece of crap software. If you want to sit around and wonder wtf if going on with your return since they give two different messages, then this is the program for you. I will never use this crap again.

Easy to use and website friendly. Recommend this to anyone who doing there own taxes

It was easy to navigate and they explained things very well.

Easy to use and each form wasn’t hard to fill out with the guided system if I had an extra questions.

Everything worked fine right up to the point of filing my returns- then... nothing. An endless and incredibly frustrating computer loop with no solution, because the website was not functioning properly. I was filing at the last minute, so it's almost a certainty that heavy use of the site played a role in the malfunction. But tax prep software that doesn't work on the day taxes are due? Bush league, I don't care how many people were trying to use the site. Oh, and also, it wasn't just me- twitter was blowing up with desperate people having the exact same issue with the exact same site symptoms. See attachment of social media posts listed on Down Detector from frustrated people and Taxslayer (admitting that their site was down at filing time, and not up again until after 3:00 a.m. one the day after tax day).

The ultimate irony? The site worked fine the day after tax day, and because I didn't want to spend another 3 hours entering my info with another tax prep site, I just continued with Taxslayer. So now they get their money from me and I get a fine from the IRS. Lesson learned- it's anyone but Taxslayer from here on out.

I've been using the program for some time now, maybe since 2003. this year has many moving parts associated with COVID-19 filings, the program wasn't clear on the tax requirements.
This year was also a big year for refi, its was very difficult to know if the data was entered correctly.

TaxSlayer is a great software to use.. Everything was done at good pace and simple.. Thanks
